Install Windows Server 2003 on HP ML110 G7

I installed Win 2k3 R2 successfully. One obstacle is letting windows see the hard drive properly.

Press F9 on booting to get in Setup(BIOS),
Select Advanced Options,
SATA Controller Options,
Embedded SATA Configuration,

Ensure 'Enable SATA Legacy Support' is selected.

I downloaded the latest Smart Start CD from the HP site:

After burning the ISO image and running it inside Windows all devices were recognised.

You can also use this for the NIC drivers only:

I am yet to try getting the AHCI mode in the BIOS but after the install completes you would probably need to update the controller drivers in device manager, like a few SATA hp laptops I installed XP on. RAID is currently not configured.

Topic: Can I install Windows Server 2003 32bit on an HP MH110 G7 server.
