Solid line over dashed line on power adapters

I have to figure out the output rating on different adapters and was depending on the written values, but some of them have symbols instead and I did not know what two parallel lines, one solid, one broken meant. It means DC voltage, and a horizontal S curve is AC.

  2. I just recently found out that you only get the rated output voltage when they are connected to a load where the rated current flows. Change the load and the output voltage changes to.
